I couldn't resist...
Hi!

I would like to welcome you to the first showcase of our game 'Limbo Of The LOL'. This game is aimed at players who yearn to play the traditional point & click adventure games of old, Utilizing a full mouse driven interface with incredible visuals and devious puzzles, this is the adventure you have been waiting for!

Help Mr Morris Magician as he ventures towards the Great Temple Of LOL, in order to secure the great Talisman, if he fails then the very essence of Mankind will be smashed to pieces like glass!!

Between me and my two fellow developers we researched, wrote, designed, animated, scripted and developed the whole game from scratch. LOL has been 25 years in the making and soon we will finally be ready to release to the great world :)

Features:

* State of the art graphics, it's like actually being there!
* Immersive smell FX ™, brings the stench of the locations to life!
* Amazing musical score, composed by John William's brother!
* ] Puzzles that will make your head spin and then fall off!
* Storyline!
* Every level is different! Explore Harry Harbour, City Of Hope, The Catacombs Of Goth and then finally enter The Temple Of LOL!
* Spectator gameplay - You don't do a damn thing!
* Over 300 NPC characters to talk with, you'll never get bored ever!
* 6 levels of puzzles, where 6 is even harder than that bird puzzle in Silent Hill 3!
* More storyline!
* Hours of dialogue with 200% lip sinked 3D models.
* Fully mouse driven, with optional game controller plug-in. (keyboards not supported)
* Checkpoints every hour mean that you don't save often so it's more challenging!
* When you die, you have to start the game from the beginning.. so whatever you do, don't die!

Here are three exclusive screenshots for you:

I hope you like what you see and that you will be enjoying playing this when it is released!

Regards,
Jonus Kabayabataba - CEO Clueless Software INC.

PC Adventure Game Accused Of Ripping Assets (Geeks must see this!)
It seems they've ripped off content from Oblivion, Painkiller, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Silent Hill and even custom made UT2K4 maps... what the fuck?!!

Comparison shots, prepare to lol big time:

And finally...

Return To Castle Wolfenstein:

A custom Unreal 2004 map:

Illegal content in mods is one thing.. but in a commercial game that costs about £30?!!! How did they possibly think that this was ok?! *dumbfounded*

Al Simmons has returned to my life once again...
Finally, after a long period of waiting, I am ready to begin catching up on all the Spawn comic issues I missed out on. Several years ago I saw the Spawn film in the cinemas on my birthday, it was shit but it got me to try out the comics. So I began collecting the Graphic novels issued by Titan until they stopped printing them and then I was left with no other way to continue except to buy the comics every month and I hate collecting comics because a) they take up too much space b) I prefer all the storyline in one go without stupid adverts getting in the way. Lo and behold, a few years later Image started printing the collections which was to chronicle the entire series, unfortunately that meant I'd need to wait another two years before Volume 5 came out, enabling me to carry on where I left off. Now the time has passed and I have purchased not only this, but also the entire Armageddon series (which sees Spawn facing off God, The Devil and the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse naturally) and the latest trade paperback used to promote the newest issues which favour a more gothic horror storyline as opposed to dark superhero tales of before.

Armageddon

Collection Volume 5

New Flesh Collection

All together, about 1000 pages of pure Spawn goodness to read through which should keep me smiling for awhile and also The Collection Volume 6 is just around the corner, to be released in June, complete with the doubled sized ultra rare #100 reprint. Fantastic.

For those of you wondering what I'm going on about, Wikipedia should suffice to explain what the Hell (see what I did there?) I'm reffering to;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spawn_(comics)

In other news, GTAIV has been released for one single week and has already sold around 50 million copies. Bloody Hell, that's what the Rockstar hype train does, although actually unsurprisingly the game is actually very fucking good scoring 9.8-100 on average on just about every review site out there. Marvelous stuff from what I've seen in the trailers, no sign of a PC release anytime soon though... booo.

Oh yeah.. and Gearbox Software are making a new Aliens game and it's looking smashing!

http://games.tiscali.cz/news/news.asp?id=26192&r=top

Apparently featuring coop, with an authenticity close to the original films, this is one to watch, just look at the screens, even though they're magazine scans you can still see how good it looks! No word on whether the predators will make an appearance but either way I don't care.. IT'S A FUCKING ALIENS GAME!

Wonder what sort of machine this is going to take to run it.. :S

The future of PC games seems bleak...
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=227935

We pulled some disturbing numbers this past week about the amount of PC players currently playing Multiplayer (which was fantastic). What wasn't fantastic was the percentage of those numbers who were playing on stolen copies of the game on stolen / cracked CD keys of pirated copies (and that was only people playing online).

Not sure if I can share the exact numbers or percentage of PC players with you, but I'll check and see; if I can I'll update with them. As the amount of people who pirate PC games is astounding. It blows me away at the amount of people willing to steal games (or anything) simply because it's not physical or it's on the safety of the internet to do.

Unsurprised by these findings, kind of worries me that if this gets worse (and it most likely will), titles for the PC are going to go into decline. I think it's fair enough if you want to download a game to try it out for a bit to see if it's any good because sometimes demos are either so shit or contain some of the dullest moments from the full-game that you never quite know what to expect. Then you either buy the proper article or you delete the game from your hard-drive, there's no excuse for piracy here, the whole argument about downloaded music doesn't even come into this either.

Far Cry graphics in your web browser?
What a silly suggestion! How could that be possible? Well.. somehow it is:

http://unity3d.com/gallery/live-demos/tropical-paradise

To view the demos you need to install the webplayer which is a 1-click install that works even without restarting your browser, it's definately worth your time this is.

Go upto the birds on the shores, they run away from you :D
